There’s a hive construction and wax dipping workshop next Saturday 16 July . It will be from 1.30 – 4pm at 206 Coast Road, Wainuiomata (about 2km south of Wainuiomata) – look for the ‘Honey For Sale’ sign at the gate on the right hand side of the road.
Come along to learn how to assemble hive boxes and wooden frames. If you want to make up your own, you will need to organise your hive equipment beforehand. John’s email is firstname.lastname@example.org Tel 04-232 7863. We’ll have some nails and framing wire available if you need it.
Please bring your own tools - hammers and drills. Small head hammers are better for the frame assembly if you have them.
The wax dipper will be operating and you can get your boxes dipped for $4 each. Bring some water based paint and roller/brush if you want to paint your boxes while they’re still hot.
Also bring some afternoon tea to share. Coffee and tea will be provided.
If you have assembled boxes that you want to be dipped, you can drop them off on Saturday morning.
Wayne can be contacted on 564-4069 if you have any questions.
